General informationAn Untensive is a multiple-day retreat that will gently immerse you in the easy-body practices of InterPlay, a 20-year-old system that can create more connection and ease in your life. InterPlay is incremental and affirming.
In InterPlay you will find new access to your stories, movement and voice. InterPlay is something that any body can do—regardless of size, shape, ability, race, background, gender, orientation, belief, or nationality. All you need is a little willingness. Expect to laugh, savour and relax. Expect to be surprised by what you can do! Minimise stress, maximise ease. Relax. Play. Connect. Explore. Create. Susanna Pain is co-leading this event with Tony Hole. About Tony Hole With a background in improvised dance, rhythm and melody, InterPlay brings together many bits for Tony. Piano has been his melodic home since childhood. A love of rhythm led him to Ghana to learn West African percussion and dance, and to India to learn classical Indian percussion. All of these experiences contribute to Tony as an InterPlayer. InterPlay has taken Tony to many unexpected places: he has led and performed in a variety of Australian InterPlay communities, in India and in the US. He is a founding member of Adelaide's InterPlay performance group "Playing with Edges". He has developed a particular interest in playing with InterPlay’s forms to explore rhythm. Tony is an accredited teacher of the TaKeTiNa rhythm process. For many years Tony has performed in a variety of global-fusion bands, currently in a Ukrainian-inspired ensemble. |

Susanna Pain | Philosophy
My aim is to enable the transformation of individuals and communities in good times and in bad, through change and transition; to create space where people can rest and feel safe with challenges and successes. I invite inclusiveness, grace, beauty and fun, as well as silence. I shape ritual and space that speaks to hearts and minds. All my midwifery is undergirded by prayer. |
