Susanna Pain's Commissioning

Wednesday 18 November 2015
The Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture, Canberra

General information

The Rev'd Susanna Pain was Commissioned as Associate Director, Liturgy, the Arts and Spiritual Care on Wednesday 18th November at 7:30pm in the Chapel of the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture.

The Chorus of Women sang for this occasion. All were invited and spread the word about this exciting new appointment at the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture.

Susanna said:
"I am excited about this new position and especially exploring engaging the arts to address social justice issues in creative ecumenical/interfaith ways. I am currently developing a contemplative walk around the site, and working on an exhibition and seminars by refugee artists for February next year. I am part of a committee organising a Festival for Peace. I hope people can join me for Campfire Reflections in November."

Susanna Pain | Philosophy
My aim is to enable the transformation of individuals and communities in good times and in bad, through change and transition; to create space where people can rest and feel safe with challenges and successes.
I invite inclusiveness, grace, beauty and fun, as well as silence. I shape ritual and space that speaks to hearts and minds.
All my midwifery is undergirded by prayer.
