Walking the Labyrinth:
An Advent Threshold Experience
Saturday 7 December 2019
Delbridge Hall, Sale
Delbridge Hall, Sale
General informationChristina Rowntree will lead a labyrinth day in and around St Paul’s Cathedral, Sale, focusing on thresholds, seasons, endings and beginnings. Labyrinth walking is a spiritual practice in many faith and no-faith traditions. Walking the Labyrinth invites you to journey, to connect. It is a metaphor for life. It is a truly unifying form, crossing cultural boundaries and creating an invitational space.
We will walk inside and outside. There will be time for personal reflection and journalling, and some educational input about the history and uses of the labyrinth. Bring your own stories and memories to share. Christina Rowntree, in her ministry in Theology and the Arts with the Uniting Church in Australia, has been leading walks and facilitating people’s experience of the labyrinth for 15 years. She trained with Veriditas as a labyrinth facilitator, and in design and construction of labyrinths.

Susanna Pain | Philosophy
My aim is to enable the transformation of individuals and communities in good times and in bad, through change and transition; to create space where people can rest and feel safe with challenges and successes. I invite inclusiveness, grace, beauty and fun, as well as silence. I shape ritual and space that speaks to hearts and minds. All my midwifery is undergirded by prayer. |
